Nazareth House Mallow
Carboline Radiant Panels & Maxi 2020
Nazareth House is a very special and unique home founded by the Sisters of Nazareth, and has a long tradition and reputation for providing quality holistic care. The home is a place of warmth and serenity where residents are offered a “home from home” welcome from the Sisters and staff.
After years of planning, the multi-million euro extension got underway in late 2016, with a view to allowing Nazareth House to continue its great work for generations to come. The new extension incorporates 120 single-bed rooms with ensuite facilities, allowing an increase in the number of patients from 85 to 120.
Additional modernisation of the facility includes the demolition of the existing assembly hall and adjacent convent buildings as well as moving the existing entrance to the existing listed building to ensure ease of access to its chapel.
The Versatile team are delighted to be involved in this significant development project (Phase 1 now complete), supplying the heating solutions in the form of Jaga Maxi 2020 LST radiators and Zehnder Carboline radiant panels.
Maxi LST radiators are specifically designed to meet nZEB standards and are a more energy-efficient and dynamic radiator. Maxi LST radiaotrs work even more efficiently using low flow temperatures in conjunction with Heat Pumps.
Zehnder Carboline radiant panels were selected as they are particularly suited to hospital and care home projects. Installed flush to the ceiling, the radiant panels are all about ensuring that people within a room feel comfortable. Radiant panels are also highly energy-efficient, only heating rooms when they are in use, by heating the objects and occupants in a room by direct radiant heat transfer.
