Rockhill House, Letterkenny
Cast Iron & Radik Klasik Radiators
The historic Rockhill House opened its doors in the Spring of this year to a new era of warmth and welcome in Donegal following an intense three-year restoration programme.
Nestled in 100 acres of woodlands in the hills above Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, is a charming and elegant country house and estate offering guests timeless Irish hospitality, a most exclusive and comfortable style, gourmet dining on fabulous fare and unique, authentic local experiences.
Tracing its roots back to the 17th Century, Rockhill House was extended and remodelled around 1832, was sold to the Commissioner of Public Works around 1936 and served as the headquarters of the Irish Defence Forces through to early 2009. Today’s owners, the Molloy family, took ownership in 2014 and began the three-year labour of love to sensitively restore the House while being true to Rockhill’s rich past.
Versatile Group were honoured to be involved in this restoration project, supplying the heating solution throughout – which included Jaga trench heating, Radik Klasik radiators and beautiful cast iron radiators to enhance the period effect. As design is in the detail, the cast iron radiators were fitted with Poletti designer valves to complete the look.
Versatile also provided the sanitary ware for the distinctly classic bathroom renovations, including the period style washbasin stands, brassware, heated towel rails and WCs.
