South West Lands, Wembley
The redevelopment of the Wembley Park area is a significant regeneration project of which the South West Lands site forms part. This project centers around the construction of reinforced concrete framed PRS residential accommodation block of up to 18 storeys, with 3 storey link building, 188 residential units, basement plant area, retail units facing onto station square, including completion of basement car park/podium slab structure and finishes.
The contractor’s objective is to create a unique character and identity for South West Lands, using traditional building form and proportions – the building has a base, a middle and a top with a handcrafted feel – using traditional brickwork and standing seam metal cladding, which provides the character of a restored heritage building.
Versatile Group is delighted to work on this project, where the architecture and interiors are full of character with urban vibes. The heating solution selected was Zehnder Multicolumn radiators in an industrial black finish with a cast iron foot to provide additional character. Built to the highest quality, this radiator provides fast heat up, is extremely robust and easy to clean.
